The Polestar 3 has achieved a record safety score for child occupant protection in its official Euro NCAP test.

Overall, the new model scored a five-star rating with an 87% score.

In the child protection category, the Polestar 3 proved of particular note, achieving 93% in that individual category – the highest score of any passenger car tested by Euro NCAP over the past nine years.

Dr. Aled Williams, programme director at Euro NCAP, said: “The Polestar 3’s performance in the Child Occupant tests is tantalisingly close to a perfect score and shows how a commitment to the safety of all occupants can pay off in providing outstanding protection in the event of an accident.

"Car makers continue to rise to the challenge of making our vehicles and roads safer, and Polestar deserves recognition for setting a new standard, no matter how small the improvement may seem.”

A score of 90% was awarded for adult occupant protection and 73% for protecting vulnerable road users, while the advanced safety systems received a mark of 83%

Building on the previous five-star rating achieved by Polestar 2 in 2021, the Polestar 3 is the second car in the brand’s current line-up to undergo testing – and receive top honours – by Euro NCAP.
