Renault Trucks has demonstrated its new E-Tech T tractor unit to fleets and partners of the Zero Emission Heavy Goods Vehicles and Infrastructure Demonstration (ZEHID) programme.

The brand is supplying 40 examples of the new truck to the eFREIGHT 2030 consortium led by Voltempo and Project Electric Freightway consortium led by Gridserve, as part of the ZEHID scheme.

The E-Tech T tractor unit is a 44-tonne electric truck can travel up to 186 miles on a single charge and up to 310 miles with a one-hour intermediate fast charge (250kW).

Its available with up to six battery packs, offering a capacity of 360kWh to 540kWh.
