Skywell has unveiled the BE11 as its first model to go on sale in the UK.

The Chinese electric SUV will enter the market alongside Tesla's best-selling Model Y, the Skoda Enyaq and VW ID4.

It is expected to "set a new standard" for specification and pricing in the segment, promising to "make the switch to electrification more affordable for families and business users alike".

The vehicle is being imported and sold in the UK by Innovation Automotive, alongside DFSK and Seres models.

The Skywell BE11 is powered by a 204PS/320Nm motor and can be specified with a 72kWh or 86kWh battery. The smaller unit provides a range of 248 miles, while the larger battery manages 304 miles (WLTP – Combined).

Rapid charging specs are yet to be confirmed, but the BE11 does feature an 11kW AC charger.

The standard equipment list includes LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, parking sensors and electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation.

There is also a suite of driver aids, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor and lane departure warning.

The interior features a centrally-mounted 12.8-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration, along with a digital instrument cluster.

Sales of the Skywell BE11 will commence in September. Pricing it yet to be confirmed.
