Tesla has added a Performance variant to the Model 3, following the car's 'Highland' facelift last year.

It brings the car's line-up to three variants: Rear Wheel Drive, Long Range and Performance.

The new range-topping model has 460PS and is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds, making it faster than the previous Performance version that was offered prior to the car's update.

Using two electric motors, the all-wheel-drive model has a range (WLTP) of 328 miles.

Prices for the Tesla Model 3 Performance start at £59,990 and the car is available to order now.

The Performance model stands out visually with 20-inch alloy wheels red brake callipers and a modified front bumper design. There is also a new diffuser and spoiler at the rear.

Inside, there are new sports seats, offering more support during enthusiastic driving, and fresh carbon fibre trim pieces.

A lower and stiffer suspension setup, along with new brakes, deliver keener handling, while the adaptive dampers are now controlled by new software.
