Thrifty's new rental brand Switch has launched a flexible mobility service with contracts for cars and vans starting from one month.
MySwitch is available with a wide selection of vehicles, from compact cars like a Mini to luxury models such as the BMW X5, as well as vans.
Customers can also switch vehicles after three months to suit their changing needs. There are 1,000 to 2,000 mile allowances per month, maintenance, road fund licence and breakdown cover is included.
Corporate firms, smaller businesses and consumers have to put down a refundable deposit to access the MySwitch service.
Martin Wilson, managing director of Scot Group, which owns the Thrifty and Swift brands, said: "MySwitch offers drivers real flexibility and a huge choice of vehicles.
"What that means in practice is that you could choose a roomy estate car for the summer holidays, or a van if that better suits your needs, then switch to a commuting-capable SUV to handle winter road conditions."
Switch is also anticipating demand for ‘MySwitch’ from those considering the move to an electric vehicle with an extended trial period.
Scot Group launched the Switch brand in June this year, with the aim of bringing a more agile and proactive approach to vehicle rental.
Scot Group has already started its rebrand of 90 rental locations in the UK to include the new name of Switch as part of its future growth strategy.
The company is hoping the new Switch branding will stand out and increase visibility for the business out on the roads.
