Toyota Proace Max now available to order

Toyota Professional has added the all-new Proace Max to its range, completing its line-up of commercial vehicles.

The Proace Max joins the updated Proace and Proace City, as well as the new Hilux Hybrid 48V. All models are available with electrified powertrains.

The Proace Max is the largest vehicle in the Toyota Professional range and is available in four configurations with two wheelbase lengths, three overall lengths and two height options to provide multiple load-carrying possibilities.

Across the range, Proace Max has a load capacity from 11.5 to 17cu m. The largest body (L4 H3) is only available on Proace Max Electric.

Gross vehicle weight for all diesel versions is 3.5 tonnes, while the electric is rated at 4.25 tonnes.

Pricing starts at £43,630 for the diesel-powered van. Electric versions are available from £62,375.

Toyota also offers both powertrains in a chassis cab.

The diesel engine option is a 2.2-litre unit producing 140PS. A six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission can be specified.

The electric powertrain produces 270PS and has an official (WLTP) standard driving range of up to 260 miles. The driver can select from three modes to adjust performance to optimise driving range or power. Further energy efficiency is provided by a regenerative braking system.

The 110kWh battery can be recharged to 80% in 55 minutes with a 150kW fast-charging system. All versions are equipped with an on-board 11kWh AC onboard charger for business or home charging.

Proace City and Proace updates

As part of the commercial vehicle range revisions, the Proace family gains a new frontal design, while LED lighting and alloy wheels are available according to model grade.

The interiors feature new steering wheel designs and equipment features, including (according to trim level) fully digital displays and multimedia systems with built in navigation, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The Proace and Proace City models gain visual updates in both van and Proace Verso people carrier forms.

The electric Proace van now offers a range of 217 miles, up by 12.5 miles. Carrying capacity is up to 6.6cu m with a payload of 1,400kg.

The electric version of the Proace City offers a range of 205 miles, a 31-mile increase on the current generation. The Proace City range has up to 4.4cu m in volume and 1,000kg in cargo weight, depending on powertrain.

The Toyota Professional range will grow further with the addition of the new Hilux Hybrid 48V, offering improved fuel efficiency and driving performance.

Hilux’s towing and payload capacities are unaffected, remaining at 3,500kg and 1,025kg respectively.
