Cartwright Rentals has announced a record year in 2014 with a 5% growth across its rental products.

The company’s rental trailer fleet park has also grown by around 5% in number, with utilisation at a high of 95 %.

In recent months the composition of the rental fleet has been re-balanced with the introduction of a significant amount of new build equipment including double deck boxes and curtainsiders and additional specialist equipment.

The age of the fleet has also been reduced, as a direct result of the company disposing of several hundred older trailers.

Paul Burn, rental sales director at Cartwright Rentals, commented: “Customers are increasingly demanding double decks, specialist equipment and XL rated kit."

Burn revealed that the rentals division would be making a further seven-figure investment in the near future with new refrigerated equipment, both in single and double deck and urban configuration, in order to meet customer demand.

“Once again we are reacting to customer requirements and the introduction of a rental offer for our (new) refrigerated products will further extend our range of rental products available to the market,” he added.
