MAN Truck and Bus has supplied four new TGS 35.400 8x4 tippers to Southampton-based Inert Recycling through the Trucks to Go scheme.
The vehicles were ready-built and provided via MAN Rental on a full repair and maintenance contract.
Colin Donnelly, transport manager at Inert, said: “We currently run a fleet of 25 tippers. Our managing director, Keith Larner, felt the time was right to trial a new make of tipper to compare performance against our existing fleet of 23 Mercedes and we decided to start having a look about for a different marque.
“The MANs were ready to go through the Trucks to Go scheme and we signed up for all four. They were on the road within weeks, two at first and then two more a week later.
The trucks will be servicing Inert Recycling’s landfill restoration business carrying inert soil to former landfill sites in the south of England.
MAN Sales Executive Aaron Tamplin said: “The Trucks to Go scheme offers customers the opportunity to acquire ready-built trucks and bodies without the standard factory build lead times.”
