FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, has recognised the value of Driver Hire’s module on vulnerable road users as part of FORS Professional training.

The module teaches drivers about the law in relation to the safety of vulnerable road users, as well as information about the dangers of speeding.

Driver Hire’s risk management division provides a number of eLearning modules to support drivers, and the vulnerable road users module was found to be particularly relevant for FORS members.

The online course provides the flexibility for drivers to learn or refresh essential skills at any suitable, convenient time without the need to book a training day.

An emphasis on training has always been an important aspect of the FORS Standard, in keeping with its focus on safer, more efficient and environmentally protective operations. Through its recently launched FORS Professional brand, FORS provides numerous funded opportunities for fleets to upskill both drivers and transport managers, including toolbox talks, toolkits and eLearning as well as classroom based sessions.
