Nexus Vehicle Rental has expanded into the Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) market, offering a UK wide HGV rental solution alongside cars and vans through a single source platform.
Nexus provides access to more than half a million vehicles via 2,000 locations at the click of a mouse, but will now offer access to more than 50,000 HGVs from 262 UK locations via a network of 50-plus suppliers.
Its new HGV booking and management dashboard provides access to more than 125 different types of vehicle from five tonnes upwards. The software will speed up the booking and administrative process, centralising everything in one system and enabling transport managers to keep on top of compliance paperwork.
The Nexus HGV portal tracks all Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI), MOT and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) requirements, helping to safeguard operations and reputations.
Many companies looking to rent HGVs do so by searching locally on an individual basis. The roll-out of Nexus’ HGV service offers a solution for managing numerous HGV rentals through one central portal, regardless of supplier and location. It has been road-tested by a number of companies ahead of its launch.
David Brennan, CEO at Nexus Vehicle Rental, said: “Over the last 18 months we have seen increased demand for our service from HGV customers. We have responded to that demand by building a dedicated HGV system, enabling HGV rentals to be managed alongside cars and vans, and we are incredibly excited to finally bring this offering to the market.
“Our unique single source platform will make life easier for transport managers who will now be able to manage all of their rentals conveniently, efficiently and compliantly through one portal. The ability to tick all vehicle and driver compliance boxes in one place allows transport managers to operate with greater peace of mind and reduced paperwork.”
Nexus was recently recognised in the 2017 Best Business Awards, winning both the Best Innovation and Best Customer Focus awards.
