Goodyear has launched a new version of its automated fleet inspection tool eJob, which aims to automate and streamline the truck and bus fleet tyre inspection process.
The smart application covers from registration to maintenance, roadside assistance, retreading and warranty for service providers.
The application, which is part of Goodyear Total Mobility, can be installed on an Android tablet and enables tyre technicans to record and transmit data, as well as send pictures to the end-customer from any location across Europe.
Maciej Szymanski, director marketing commercial Europe for Goodyear, said: “Checking a fleet of 50 vehicles can easily take up to 20 hours.
“The latest version of eJob takes the fleet inspection process to the next level, providing full automation from tyre registration, recording of remaining tread dept and tyre pressure as well as planning the next steps in the tyre maintenance and management process.”
Earlier this year, research by Goodyear found only one-quarter (25%) of fleet operators have a single brand supply deal with a tyre manufacturer.
The majority (83%) of fleet managers surveyed who have a single brand supply deal cite the main benefit is improved reliability in operation.
