Porsche has facelifted the Taycan and improved its efficiency, performance and driving range.
Offered in saloon, hatchback and estate body styles, the updated Taycan will arrive in the spring.
A key change for the new model is the introduction of a larger 105kWh battery, which enables a range (WLTP) of up to 421 miles - a 35% improvement.
Known as the Performance Battery Plus, the larger unit is fitted to Turbo and Turbo S versions of the Taycan, or is optionally available on the standard car and the 4S model.
Entry-level Taycans are priced from £86,500 and utilise an 89kWh battery with a range of 367 miles. The Performance Battery Plus option costs £4,454.
Another advantage of the new battery is faster charging. The Taycan can be charged at up to 320kW, enabling a 10% - 80% charge in 18 minutes.
The new Taycan models weigh up to 15kg less than before, while also featuring more standard equipment. Ambient lighting, ParkAssist with reversing camera, electrically folding exterior mirrors with mirror surround lighting, heated front seats, Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM), heat pump with a new cooling system, smartphone tray for wireless charging, electric charging ports on the driver and front passenger sides, Drive Mode switch and Power Steering Plus are all now standard features.
Every new Taycan also features adaptive air suspension as standard. The new Porsche Active Ride suspension can be ordered as an option for the all-wheel drive models.
The new Porsche Taycan is available to order now.
