Enterprise Rent-A-Car is piloting super-van centres at two of its car hire locations in Hounslow and Ilford to meet a growing demand for van rental in London and the South East, from both business and general users.

At the new sites, Enterprise will be renting six different sizes of vans, from small estate style vans through to large vans with a tail-lift, in order to meet every requirement.

A survey of 2,002 adults conducted by Enterprise also found that almost half of all adult Londoners (48%) have rented a van – more than anywhere else in the UK – and a fifth of Londoners have hired a van for business reasons.

Brian Swallow, group rental manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in London, said: “Demand for van rental in the capital is growing very quickly.

“They are being rented by a wide range of people and businesses for many different reasons, as they offer great value for money for those who would prefer to rent a van and undertake a job for themselves.”
