Fire detection and security provider Clymac has adopted a vehicle tracking system from Ctrack.
Clymac will use the web-based Ctrack Online system to monitor its fleet of 37 cars and vans in order to improve customer service levels and reduce engineer response times.
The Ctrack solution will replace an existing tracking system that was no longer meeting Clymac’s needs.
It will predominantly use hardwired tracking units along with a small number of self-installed devices, fitted to a vehicle’s OBD II diagnostic port.
The “plug and play” tracking systems will be used in hire vehicles that are used by new starters to provide visibility of all fleet vehicles.
Clymac will use the tracking system to identify the best-placed and most appropriate engineer, so it can quickly and efficiently respond to reactive issues.
In addition, the cars will be fitted with a simple dashboard-mounted button to switch between business and private use.
Mark Connolly, operations manager at Clymac said: “We have worked closely with Ctrack to implement a highly-effective vehicle tracking solution across our car fleet.
“We look forward to it becoming an important tool within our operation to ensure we are achieving highly-effective engineering support nationwide, along with optimum levels of customer service.”
John Wisdom, managing director of Ctrack, said: “Our proven tracking solutions, combined with unrivalled service offering and industry expertise, is helping our customers to realise a wide range of business and operational benefits.
“As a result, we are working with an increasing number of fleet operators, of all sizes and vehicle types, as their preferred telematics partner.”
