TBC Conversions has developed Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Caddy and Crafter models into specialist refrigeration units as part of the Engineered for You programme.

The company has created refrigerated compartments for the Caddy and Crafter vans using rigid panels, with units moulded to the body shape of the vehicle in order to maximise storage space.

To accommodate customer needs, the vans have been adapted to have three different temperature ranges, with a variety of shelving and racking solutions also available.

The insulation kit is comprised of an interlocking assembly resting on a sealed, waterproof tray, with the panel kit manufactured with pressure-injected polyurethane foam, fitted directly to the shape of the vehicle.

David Donnell, managing director at TBC Conversions, said: “With both the converted Crafter and Caddy, we have created an eye-catching unit that is desirable to a broad range of customers, being easily-adaptable to suit their needs.

Both models have huge cargo space available and their long body length provides the perfect platform on which to create units fit for specification for the customer.”

TBC is one of 22 converters that have been invited to join the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Converter tecognition programme. These converters will form the converter network for the ‘Engineered for You’ programme, which enables customers to buy the vehicle solution they need from the company’s Van Centre network.
