BCA has launched a new commercial vehicle auction programme with new regular sales starting in Blackbushe, Glasgow and Wolverhampton.
Building on the existing auction calendar, BCA is staging additional weekly sales at each location every fortnight, creating the capacity for BCA to offer more than 2,000 vans a week.
Additional sales were added at Manchester last year and BCA now stages at least one LCV sale across the network every day.
The new programme is already generating records, said BCA, with Blackbushe setting a new volume benchmark by offering 663 vans on one day and selling 560. BCA Glasgow sold a record 300 LCVs in one week in January and digital buyers were particularly active with 47% of all vans purchased via BCA Live Online in January.
Stuart Pearson, managing director of UK Remarketing, said: “The new auction calendar offers more choice to our buyers and a more frequent selling platform for our vendors.
“At least one LCV sale takes place within the BCA network every day, with additional sales being added to create capacity for the growing volume. This also allows our customers the chance to turn their inventory more efficiently and provide our buyers with more choice, with every sale available to remote bidders via BCA Live Online.”
Pearson concluded: “With BCA retaining and winning more LCV business nationwide, we are now able to offer a significantly increased volume of stock through our enhanced sales programme. The combination of physical and digital sales means that buyers can source the stock they need in the most time- and cost-effective manner, whatever their location.”
