Dyer and Butler, a part of M Group Services, has achieved the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) Gold accreditation status for the second consecutive year.
FORS is an accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
Dyer and Butler’s director of safety, sustainability and training Steve Broom said: “The management of road risk is a fundamental part of every organisation’s safety culture and the adoption of the FORS code of practice provides an excellent framework through which sustained improvements in fleet and vehicle safety performance can be made.
"Retaining Gold accreditation shows that Dyer and Butler is demonstrating best practice across the four key areas of running a fleet of vehicles – management, drivers, vehicles and operations.”
Dyer and Butler’s managing director Neil Edwards said: “As the operation of a large fleet of vehicles is a key risk to our business, it has been encouraging to see how the adoption of the FORS standard has contributed to overall improvements in our fleet management arrangements and provided additional benefits to us in terms of controlling our financial, social and environmental risks and providing additional opportunities for further improvement.”
