Vauxhall’s fully-electric Vivaro-E van will be priced from £34,390, falling to £27,723 after the Government’s plug-in van grant is applied.
The range, which is available to order now with first deliveries in October, will be available in two trim levels (Dynamic and Elite), two lengths (L1H1 and L2H1), two bodies (van and double cab) and two battery sizes (50kWh and 75kWh).
The 50kWh battery offers 144 miles of range (with half-payload), with the 75kWh battery version able to travel up to 205 miles between charges.
Both have 100kw charging capability as standard, enabling rapid charging of the 50kW battery from 0-80% in 32 minutes and the larger battery in 48 minutes.
Vivaro-e has the same load volume as internal combustion-engined models, while payload is up to 1,266kg. It is also capable of towing up to one tonne.
Standard equipment on Dynamic trim levels includes remote control central deadlocking, full-height steel bulkhead, 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, multimedia infotainment unit with seven-inch touchscreen, driver drowsiness alert and rear parking distance sensors.
Among the extra equipment on Elite is, FlexCargo load-through bulkhead, Multimedia Navi Pro sat-nav system, panoramic rear-view camera, lane departure warning, forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, and front parking sensors.
British Gas has already announced that is has ordered 1,000 Vauxhall Vivaro-e models.
