Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has added two new van conversion specialists to its Converter Recognition Scheme, expanding the range of conversion products available to customers.
Clarks Vehicle Conversions and CoTrim have joined the scheme, providing customers with an extended range of conversions while guaranteeing the quality of products supplied directly through Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Van Centre network, said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Doncaster-based, Clarks Vehicle Conversions has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry and will bolster Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ welfare van offering with the development of a new Volkswagen Crafter conversion to be released later in the year.
Welfare vans help support mobile workforces, such as motorway maintenance crews, with self-contained facilities such as a canteen area, seating, and wash facilities.
CoTrim, which launched in 1994, has worked alongside Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for many years and specialises in crew vans, with conversions available for the Volkswagen Crafter and Transporter, including the Duovan.
Crew vans provide additional people-carrying capacity, while still maintaining a rear load space for carrying tools or materials to and from site.
Nick Axtell, specialist sales manager at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “As part of our Working With You promise, we are continually looking at ways to improve our products and services, and that includes expanding the number of conversions that we offer through our Converter Recognition Scheme.
“Both of our new partners have unique specialisms and a wealth of conversion experience that will allow us to continue to deliver the best experience for our customers.”
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles said the two new partners have completed a certification process, meeting the quality and technical criteria required by the scheme.
As Integrated Partners, Clarks Vehicle Conversions and CoTrim are required to undergo regular audits to ensure quality is upheld.
Conversions available through the scheme include car transporters, cranes, minibuses and mobile workshops, as well as racking, refrigeration, welfare and wheelchair access vehicles, on top of standard Lutons, dropsides and tippers.
