Sureserve Group has added 30 new Citroen e-Dispatch vans to its fleet as part of its environmental commitments.
The compliance and energy services provider specified Enterprise vans with Medium ‘M’ body length and the larger 75kWh battery.
Duties undertaken by the electric vans include serving customers in the social housing, public buildings and education markets across the UK.
Dean Williams, group fleet manager at Sureserve, said: “We have always sought to manage our fleet of commercial and company vehicles to the most efficient standards available, and the addition of 30 new Citroen e-Dispatch vans will start the next stage in our journey towards a greener and more economical fleet, with further additions planned in the future.
“As well as the environmental value in using zero emissions vehicles, we are encouraged by the potential cost savings, and with fewer moving parts, less requirements for servicing, maintenance and repairs.”
Sureserve Group’s decision to add Citroen e-Dispatch vans to its fleet follows a host of other institutions taking the same step, including Varitech Systems and Falkirk Council. While these organisations have very different needs and requirements, they say they are united by their drive to reduce the environmental impact of their day-to-day services and to reduce operating costs.
Available with a choice of two battery sizes, the Citroen e-Dispatch is capable of up to 143 miles with the 50kWh battery option, or up to 205 miles with the larger 75kWh unit. It provides up to 6.6 cubic metres of load volume and a payload of up to 1,002kg.
