Volkswagen’s ID 7 Pro S Match and Tourer Pro S Match longer-range models have now gone on sale, priced £55,450 and £56,140 respectively.

Pro S introduces a bigger 86kWh battery and faster charging than the ID 7 Match versions, which feature a 77kWh unit.

This gives the new model a WLTP electric range of 437 miles for the fastback and 425 miles for the Tourer.

The Pro S Match models can also be charged at up to 200kW at appropriate DC charge points, meaning the battery can be topped up from 10% to 80% in as little as 26 miles.

Standard equipment on both new models includes a head-up display; Volkswagen’s latest MIB4 infotainment software with 15-inch screen; IQ.LIGHT Matrix headlights; three-zone air conditioning with smart vents; ergoActive heated front seats with massage functions; and privacy glass in the rear.

They also offer the same boot space, with up to 1,586 and 1,714 litres of storage respectively in the fastback and Tourer (loaded to roofline with the rear seats down).

The ID7 is also available in a sporty GTX variant.

The event at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, allowed hundreds of fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders the chance to utilise more than 30 miles of roads and tracks with varied surfaces and technical features.
