Volvo has starting accepting orders for the new EX30 Cross Country, which is a more rugged version of its existing EX30 compact SUV.
The fully electric model has been given a visual overhaul, to set it apart from a regular EX30, with skid plates, wheel arch extensions and new black panels at the front and rear.
The EX30 Cross Country also has a raised ride height and model specific 19-inch alloy wheels. All-terrain tyres are optionally available.
It's available in one trim level, based on the range-topping Ultra variant, priced at £47,060.
The car has a Twin Motor powertrain with 428PS and provides a driving range of up to 265 miles. It's fitted with a 65kWh (useable) battery. Acceleration from 0-62mph takes 3.7 seconds.
“We launched our first Cross Country car more than 25 years ago, and this concept of durable and all-weather cars is core to the Volvo brand,” said Jim Rowan, Volvo Cars’ CEO. “In Sweden we face harsh winters, but we also like to make the most of them by getting out and exploring our amazing nature, even when it’s minus 20 Celsius outside. That’s why we want to deliver a fully rounded experience, not simply a car, to our EX30 Cross Country customers.
