Railway training and assessment provider Intertrain has opted for a full fleet management service from JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions.
Intertrain has a fleet of Volkswagen cars and vans which are used by personnel travelling around the UK to deliver courses at its training centres and on site.
The contract with JCT600 includes the provision of around 60 vehicles over the next three years.
As well as supplying its contract hire needs, JCT600 VLS will manage Intertrain’s grey fleet, handle its driving licence checks, provide an external tracker system and supply fuel cards.
Samantha Moss, north east regional sales manager for JCT600 VLS, said: “Intertrain has appointed us as its sole supplier and given us responsibility to handle all of its fleet needs. We have worked closely with the company to compile a complete strategy of fleet terms and procedures and Intertrain has already ordered 20 vehicles from us.”
Michael Godridge, financial manager at Intertrain, said: “We started using JCT600 following a period of growth where a number of vehicles were required. As a business, we do not have an internal fleet controller and JCT600 was able to competitively supply and provide a package of services matched to our requirements, ensuring we were meeting our legal obligations.
“Having a single point of contact, who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their role, takes away the usual pressures when sourcing vehicles. I generally only need to make one phone call and will have all the necessary information to make the correct decision.”
