TCH Leasing has signed a three-year sole supplier agreement with Florette to manage more than 70 vehicles in the UK, comprising of cars and commercial vehicles.
Florette forms part of the Agrial cooperative and supplies products to around nine million shoppers each year.
The decision to appoint TCH Leasing followed a detailed tender process undertaken by Florette. TCH Leasing were chosen as fleet management provider as they were considered best suited to meet Florette’s key objectives of helping develop and introduce a new fleet policy and converting ‘grey fleet’ drivers (drivers that use their personal vehicles for business purposes) to using vehicles supplied by TCH Leasing via a contract hire agreement.
To ensure the seamless introduction of the new fleet policy, TCH Leasing will host a two-day workshop for employees of Florette to help educate staff regarding the benefits that the policy delivers for both employees and the business respectively.
Richard Brooksbank, supply chain manager, Florette said: “We were looking for a fleet management provider who could be a ‘working partner’ rather than just a supplier, and that is exactly what TCH Leasing are”.
Brooksbank continued: “TCH Leasing won the tender process to become our fleet management provider for a number of reasons, but principally because they demonstrated that they could provide us with expert consultancy. This consultancy and support will help us meet our key fleet objectives, including reducing the number of grey-fleet drivers on our fleet by using contract hire as an alternative.”
Mark Hammond, managing director of TCH Leasing added: “We are delighted to have secured this opportunity to work with such a highly respected company as Florette. The agreement is a testament to both companies’ ability to work in partnership to agree on a handover plan for the existing fleet and also to encourage Florette’s grey fleet drivers to adopt the contract hire alternative for the provision of their vehicle.”
