Manheim Remarketing reports that compact executive segment wholesale selling prices have generally outperformed the overall fleet sector average during months of growth over the past year.
However, when the fleet sector falls, compact executives prices drop below the average suggesting that it is more susceptible to seasonal market dynamics than the fleet sector as a whole.
In the period February to June 2009, values of compact executives increased by 18.9%, while the overall fleet sector improved by 15.5%.
In contrast, in the last six months of 2009 values of this segment fell by 13.9%, while the overall fleet sector fell by just 2.4%.
When compared with February 2009 compact executives have increased in value by 10.9% within an overall sector that is up by 15.9% over the same period.
