Transport Manager

The role of Transport Manager will be to manage drivers, and plan the multidrop routes for the company's 7 vehicles. Along with this they will be responsible for managing the transport department along with drivers and their hours in line with WTD, KPIs such as fuel efficiency, and also communicating with customers.

Description

The key responsibilities for the role of Transport Manager in Warrington will be:

Planning efficient and cost effective multidrop routes for the fleet of 7 vehicles.
Managing transport related KPIs and actively improving the transport operation.
Managing the drivers, along with their hours in line with WTD.
Communicating with both drivers out on the road and also customers around the status of deliveries.
Ensuring that all vehicles are legal and compliant.
Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislations and procedures with tachographs.
Maintain accurate administrative records.Profile

The successful candidate for the role of Transport Manager in Warrington will have:

Good knowledge of transport and drivers hours legislation.
Great people management skills, to manage drivers.
Experience with transport and transport planning.
Good geographical knowledge.
Great communication skills.
The ability to improve and make a transport operation cost effective.

A salary of up to £33,000 DOE.
