ADT Auctions has changed its name back to British Car Auctions - the name it held until 1988 - following the management buyout of the company last year.

The new name and identity will come into force officially on January 1, 1997. And the company is also launching a new identity for the electronic customer services businesses under the banner ITS Solutions. This will include vehicle inventory and remarketing management, vehicle inspection, electronic sales systems including electronic auction, fixed price dealer wholesale and electronic tender, unit inventory funding and stock management - the Exchequer credit card and physical auction stock locator and valuation service. ITS is the name of the holding company which backed the management buyout.

From the start of 1997, the company will also trade in Europe as BCA Autoveiling in Holland, BCA Auto Auktion in Denmark, BCA Auto Auktionen in Germany, and BCA Autoveiling - Encheres Autos in Belgium. Euro-fleet will continue to trade under its own name in partnership with the core auction activities.
