FORD is returning to the UK pickup market in the spring with the launch of the one-tonne Ranger in two-wheel and four-wheel-drive. It will have the option of a 78bhp normally-aspirated diesel engine on regular cab and super-cab body configurations or a 109bhp 2.5-litre turbodiesel with a four-door double cab, the manufacturer said at the Motor Show.

Prices will be announced nearer launch, but equipment will include driver and passenger airbags, sail-mounted wing mirrors, centre storage console, one-piece instrument panel and twin cup-holders.
