OUTDOOR media company More Group has halved its insurance premiums after fitting Securicor TrakBak to its van fleet. The company is responsible for putting up posters on advertising hoardings and in bus stops, and offers customers time guarantees for carrying out the work.

Stewart Gilham, More Group's fleet manager, said: 'With the installation of Securicor TrakBak our insurance premiums dropped by 50% to about £400 per vehicle. Not only have we managed to safeguard our vehicles from theft, but we also recouped the initial outlay of installing the system within the first year. What we save in insurance premiums each year is more than three times the annual membership fee to Securicor TrakBak.'

He installed TrakBak three years ago and has experienced a dramatic reduction in vehicle thefts. In the 18 months prior to fitting the security system the company lost 20 vehicles, jeopardising future orders and contracts. Since the installation the company has suffered just one vehicle theft, and the vehicle was recovered in time to prevent it being resprayed or dismantled for parts.
