CASH and carry retail giant Booker has taken delivery of its 1,000th Citroen Xantia - the first of the new-look 1998 cars. Part of a four-year solus arrangement with Citroen, Booker's all-diesel policy also includes Xsara, Saxo, Synergie and XM models.

Alex Berry, Booker Belmont Wholesale's director of security and risk management said: 'During our solus arrangement, the Citroen proposition has continued to develop to include the terrific Xsara and now the enhanced Xantia. Our drivers are extremely pleased with the vehicles and we have nothing but praise for the high levels of service we are getting from Citroen dealers.'
