GUARDIAN Insurance has published a guide to the effects and risks of road rage, including a special survival supplement for company car drivers. The technical brief, 'Road Rage - the Risks', is a wide-ranging compilation of recent research on road rage.

It examines the causes of road rage, the psychological forces at work during acts of aggression, and offers advice on how to avoid and defuse explosive situations. Neil Lightbown, Guardian Insurance's London market casualty manager, said: 'The seriousness of the road rage issue must not be underestimated and it should be of particular concern to fleet managers where company car drivers are more likely to be both the victim of an aggressive driving incident as well as the cause.'
