FIAT Group is slashing the price and increasing specification on several models in the UK from both its Fiat and Alfa Romeo car ranges.

The Fiat Brava five-door hatchback has had its prices cut to match those of the three-door Bravo models, and there is a new entry-level special edition version called Forza costing £9,995 on the road. The price changes see the Brava range drop by about £500: for example, the 80 16v SX was £11,409 on the road and is now £10,953, the TD 75 SX (£12,049) is now £11,640, the mid-ranged 100 16v ELX (£12,891) and is £12,496, and the 115 16v ELX (£14,935) is £14,272.

Similarly, the Alfa Romeo 145 and 146 models are benefitting from a revised exterior and interior trim, increased specification and a price reduction for the 146. Prices for the 145 remain the same but those for the 146 are down by an average of 1.3%, which sees the 146 1.6 TS fall by £290 to £14,836, 146 1.8 TS by £270 to £15,698, and the 146 2.0 Ti falls £250 to £17,122
