The system, which will be available on Range Rover, Discovery and Freelander models, displays live information on traffic jams and problems on more than 200 individual map screens, covering 8,000 miles of motorways and trunk roads in England, Wales and Scotland.
Traffic information can be displayed in real time on the built-in Land Rover navigation screen, where congestion is presented as an arrowhead icon signifying the speed and direction of traffic in the problem area.
Trafficmaster Monitor will be available as part of the Land Rover Autobiography personalisation programme which is currently available on Range Rover and was launched on Freelander and Discovery this week.
The new Citroen C5 range will feature Trafficmaster Oracle, which has been standard on the Citroen Xantia since 1998. It provides location specific warnings on traffic conditions via the car stereo.
James Batchelor, Trafficmaster's director of automotive, said: 'We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Citroen over several years. I am pleased that we have been able to work with our Citroen colleagues from the early days on the C5.'
