THE chairman of the National Association of Police Fleet Managers, Allan McLellan, has stepped down and also retired from his role as fleet manager for Strathclyde Police. McLellan's role as chairman has been taken by John Lawrence, who runs the Hertfordshire Police fleet, but his position in Strathclyde, offered with a salary of up to £39,243, has yet to be filled.

After taking early retirement, McLellan is part of the launch team for a new company, ProSolution Management Services, offering a wide range of consultancy services to the fleet industry.
