PEUGEOT replacement parts prices have been cut by up to 40% in a new move by the manufacturer to reduce fleet ownership costs and fend off competition from alternative equipment suppliers. Exhausts, exchange radiators, exchange driveshafts, clutch kits, oil filters, shock absorbers, brake pads and wheel cylinders are among items reduced, and exhaust systems, excluding catalytic converters, now carry a two-year warranty.

Charles Greenland, Peugeot's parts and service director, said: 'This programme enables customers to fit genuine parts at an affordable price - and keep their Peugeot always a Peugeot.' The move follows the January announcement of three years of warranty cover for new vehicles and service intervals extended to 20,000 miles for petrol models. Examples of prices for a 206 1.1 LX are rear silencer £47.53, exchange driveshaft £96.94 and exchange radiator £65.69.
