STAYBRITE Windows, with a fleet of 378 vehicles, became the first user of Car Fleet Control's new FleetPlus fleet management software at the Fleet Show. FleetPlus is the latest generation of professional management software aimed at medium to larger fleets - typically operating more than 200 vehicles.

Ron Preedy, Staybrite's transport manager, said: 'When I first came to Staybrite 10 years ago, we took on Car Fleet Control software quickly and, as the fleet has grown, we have upgraded to take advantage of new developments. We are looking to FleetPlus to offer even higher levels of control -something that is crucial to us as our fleet is operated from numerous sites across the country.'

The Staybrite fleet includes 110 cars and eight HGVs, with the remainder of the fleet consisting of LDV Convoy and Pilot LCVs. All cars are operated on a three-year-cycle and commercial vehicles, four years. The fleet is outright purchased. FleetPlus contains detailed driver, vehicle and supplier records, and the ability to recharge all fleet costs with software that is flexible and can be configured to suit many needs. An advantage over Eurofleet, which FleetPlus replaces, is the ability to record optional extras added to a vehicle after purchase.
