IT'S not all about cars and vans at the Fleet Show, Cooper-Avon Tyres' national and European fleet sales manager Paul Taylor was reminding visitors. Police, ambulance and other emergency services have substantial numbers of motorcycles and as alternative travel plans and Government measures to curb car use kick in, two-wheeled corporate transport is on the rise.
Taylor said: 'Motorcycle sales are on the up and many fleet user-chooser are turning to bikes for commuting and leisure alternatives to the car. One of the messages we've been getting across successfully at the show is that Cooper-Avon produces an extensive range of replacement tyres not just for cars, vans and light trucks, but also for motorcycles.'
The Wiltshire-based firm was also using Fleet Show 2000 as the launchpad for a new range of 4x4 tyres, Ranger-H, and promoting its expanding pan-European fleet supplier status with a three-language guide to tyre speed, load and classification.
