THE joint Customs & Excise and Inland Revenue stand at Fleet Show 2000 had one of its best years at the show as fleet managers tried to get the lowdown on key issues facing their fleets. Tax changes were one of the main focuses of interest as fleet buyers and decision-makers sought expert help on CO2-based company car tax and Vehicle Excise Duty.

Bob Lewis, manager of the Customs & Excise motor trade sector said: 'It is even busier than last year and there has been a lot of interest from visitors to the show. People are coming to find out the latest about VAT, such as changes to the status of double-cabs and how changes to company car tax will affect their employees. There has also been interest in the cost of importing cars.'
