EUROPE'S biggest car maker Volkswagen AG is poised to take full ownership of Skoda Auto by buying the Czech Government's 30% stake in the Volkswagen subsidiary.

The Czech cabinet has agreed the sale which was due to be approved by Volkswagen shareholders as FNN went to press.
