FLEET chiefs are set to be wooed by leading manufacturers as the battle for business in the key upper medium sector takes off with a raft of new models to be unveiled at this year's Paris Motor Show. The end of September will be the launchpad for the public debuts of the new Ford Mondeo, Renault Laguna and Volkswagen Passat.
Some fleet managers have already seen the all-new Mondeo, which is due to go on sale in the UK in November. It will be followed in January by the all-new Laguna, which will enter UK showrooms in January next year.
Both cars be joined by a 'substantially facelifted' Passat which will go on sale in the UK in the spring. Competition will hot up further when Citroen launches the new Xantia at the end of this year.
