VISITORS to the Fleet News Drive at Oulton Park on April 30 and May 1 will have the chance to put Hyundai's high performance Coupe - which has been compared favourably to the Ferrari 550 Maranello - through its paces.

The carmaker will be bringing six silver Coupe 2.7 V6s to the final Fleet News Drive, the collective name for the two ride and drives designed to let fleet decision makers rigorously test the latest cars. The first ride and drive at Brands Hatch earlier this week was acknowledged by fleet managers as a valuable aid in helping them make choice list decisions.

Hyundai's new business development director Dennis Bennett said Oulton Park would prove to fleet managers the brand's revitalised product line-up and impressive RV and running cost proposition.

He said: 'We will be there to raise awareness of the strength of the brand and I'm confident our product will prove a revelation to fleet managers. What we've got to offer is exponentially better than it was three years ago. And once they've been on the track in the Coupe, we will be willing to sit down and demonstrate to visitors the cost effectiveness of all our cars.'

In addition to the Coupes, Hyundai will be bringing a Santa Fe 2.0 TD and Sonata 2.7 V6 for use on the road course, plus a static Matrix 1.8 CDX and Trajet 2.0 TD.

The decision brings the total manufacturers attending the Oulton Park event to 12. Also attending are Fiat, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, Mazda, Toyota, Citroen, Volvo, Subaru, MG Rover and Honda.
