NISSAN'S revised Terrano has gone on sale with a choice of the existing 2.7-litre turbodiesel or the 3.0- litre direct injection turbo diesel from the Nissan Patrol GR.

Extra equipment offsets price increases for the range, with all models gaining ABS with electronic brake force distribution and passenger airbag, while the SE models include side airbags and active front seat head restraints which reduce the risk of neck injuries in collisions. The range-topping SVE also has leather trim and a sunroof. The 3.0Di offers improved fuel consumption over the 2.7TD as well as better performance with 32.1mpg for three-door manual versions compared with 28.8mpg for the 2.7TD. Prices for the range start at £17,395.
