SMALL fleets with BMWs on their choice lists are being targeted by a new all makes insurance scheme from the manufacturer.

The insurance scheme has been tailor-made for sub-25 fleets with the stipulation that at least one of the cars is a BMW.

In the event of an accident or theft BMW Fleet Insurance will organise recovery of the vehicle to the most convenient approved repairer and provide onward travel for the occupants to their home or chosen destination. However, a temporary replacement car can be arranged if necessary, allowing the driver to continue his or her journey.

BMW Fleet Insurance is backed by UK Insurance, a member of the General Insurance Standards Council, and Green Flag and includes a 24-hour replacement windscreen service plus transfer of insurance to a courtesy car when the main car is being serviced.

Also, up to £50,000 legal expenses cover can be obtained for a nominal charge, to help with the recovery of uninsured losses resulting from a motor-related accident claim.

It is offered to fleets ranging from two to 25 cars and follows the creation of an insurance and accident management scheme for retail customers. BMW Fleet Insurance is also offering cover and special discounts for drivers who opt out of company car schemes.
