VOLKSWAGEN is giving more power to the LT's elbow with the launch of a blistering new 158bhp version, the most powerful van engine on the market today.

The new model replaces the old TDI 130 unit and is available from this month. The 2.8-litre engine also offers 244 lb-ft of torque from 1,800 to 3,000rpm. The extra power is available by using the latest common rail diesel technology which generates only the necessary injection pressures as and when needed. The old CR engines operate at a constant pressure.
