Biggest launch was the new long wheelbase version of the Renault Trafic, together with a nine-seater minibus. The LL29dCi has an extra 40cm of load length over the standard model and offers 5.9 cubic metres of loadspace. The extra length means the van can cope with 8ft x 4ft boards. Power comes from a 100bhp 1.9dCi common rail diesel engine. Price is £13,600 ex-VAT.
The minibus is built by converter Mellor. Each seat has its own integrated seatbelt and ABS is standard.
Meanwhile, Renault unveiled its new Kangoo 4x4, designed to suit fleets which need to work in tough terrain. The van features a permanent four wheel drive unit from Nissan and an 80bhp 1.9dCi common rail diesel engine. The standard Kangoo also offers extra economy with the new 1.5dCi. With 65bhp on tap, the engine improves economy by 10mpg to 51.3mpg. Prices are yet to be revealed.
Final launch was what Renault described as the Monster Master. With an extra 50cm at the rear, the van has a total load length of 4,214mm and is powered by a 90bhp 2.2dCi common rail engine.
