VOLVO has revised its S40 and V40 range for the 2003 model year with price changes, extra equipment, a new-look black grille and improved emissions.

Specification upgrades are worth £490 and £1,020 respectively for S40 and V40 S models, while prices have increased by £250 and £400. However, SE models have received price cuts of up to £350 on V40 estates and £500 on S40 saloons.

Fuel economy on the combined cycle improves from 34mpg to 35.8mpg with carbon dioxide emissions falling from 198g/km to 189g/km - reducing a driver's BIK liability from 21% of the car's list price to 19%.

The 1.8i direct injection petrol engine now comes in Sport trim as well as SE, while the 102bhp 1.9D has been dropped from the range.
