DAVID Beckham 'wanna-bes' are being encouraged to take part in a charity five-a-side football tournament.

The RAC and Royal & SunAlliance's annual fleet industry football challenge takes place this year at the JJB Soccerdrome in Pride Park, Derby on June 29, 2002. The event will raise funds for Motability.

The first prize is a golfing weekend at the DeVere Slaley Hall Hotel, Hexham in Northumberland.

Last year the competition raised £12,000 for Motability, with the money going to help disabled people get on the road with specially adapted vehicles.

The RAC and R&SA are looking for teams of eight, consisting of five players and three substitutes from each company. An entry fee of £400 gives each team the use of all the facilities at the JJB Soccerdrome, refreshments, prizes, a team photograph and a buffet meal.
