RENAULT has revealed the first official pictures of the production version of the new Espace MPV, due to reach the UK next year.

The new car is close to the concept car that appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and shares a platform with the new Vel Satis. The Espace will offer four cylinder and six cylinder versions of both petrol and diesel engines, and will include the hands-free Renault Card door locking and engine start, automatic parking brake and eight airbags with lateral chest airbags for the second row of seats – the first time for an MPV.

Upgraded air conditioning with separate controls on each door will also feature in the car, while a longer Grand Espace, with improved luggage capacity, will also be available.
