PEUGEOT has launched a special edition 106 New Independence at £6,495 on the road. Power-assisted steering and metallic paint are both standard, while a sunroof is available as an option at £170 and a front passenger airbag for £210.

The car is powered by Peugeot's 1.1-litre petrol engine that emits low carbon dioxide emissions of just 145g/km, and boasts a combined fuel economy figure of 43.6 mpg.
