A NATIONAL brainstorming session on future developments for the Association of Car Fleet Operators has prompted a review of key elements of the organisation.

Three key areas will come under particular scrutiny following the meeting covering regional meetings, the internet and recruitment.

The event, attended by 14 fleet operators, was intended to be an early step in a review process designed to ensure ACFO continues to fulfil its role as a relevant and valuable body for fleet operators.

Areas for review will be evaluated by the board and national council of ACFO in a review phase that could extend over the next six months.

ACFO director Stewart Whyte said: 'One area that will be examined closely with immediate effect is the power of the internet.

'The ACFO website has recently been refreshed and a number of innovative ideas were noted from the brainstorming session. Where appropriate, these will be implemented at the earliest possible opportunity.

'Increasingly high value content will be located in a secure area, accessible only to ACFO members. This will provide an additional incentive for fleet operators to join the association.'

Recruitment and regional meetings will be examined in further detail at a later date.
